Updates

January 2013

Well, I definitely didn’t have time to post since 2010! A lot has happened since then! I worked on the film Priest as a Roto/Paint Lead at Spy Post in 2010. After that gig was over, I spent a little bit of time at Mekanism working on another Charles Schwab commercial.
From there, I was hired at Industrial Light and Magic to help do roto/paint for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides.

I helped out on a few other films during my time there, but in the middle of 2011, I found out that I was pregnant! I took some time off from work to focus on my pregnancy and preparing for my baby. My little girl was born on February 3, 2012. I took a year off to take care of her, which has been an amazing time of my life.

I would say that I’ll try to update more, but that didn’t work out the last time I said it!

January 2010

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I last posted something here… time goes by so fast!

So, 2009 was eventful! It started off with some sad news: the bad economy hit The Orphanage hard and the company no longer exists. 🙁 I am thankful for the great experience I received there and all the friends I made. When this happened, I had just started working at Mekanism and continued working there until April. While there, I mainly worked on the Charles Schwab commercials, like this one here.

After a vacation to Europe in May, I landed a job at PDI/DreamWorks, down in Redwood City. I’ve been working there since, first on a couple TV productions (Monsters vs Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space and Merry Madagascar) and right now we’re finishing up both How To Train Your Dragon and Shrek Forever After.

Alright, that’s all for my update. I’ll try to write my next update before 2011 arrives! 🙂

Thanks to my husband I now have a new website!

I’m still working at The Orphanage now for the past 2 years. I’m currently the lead roto/paint artist for the respective department. I’m currently working on a few commercials with them as well as The Battle of Red Cliff.
